Vargas Island (Day 5) On Day 5 we only paddled about 3km but it was a challenge. Along the way we encountered rain, strong winds and big swells. It was fun to watch the kayak in front of you disappear down into a large swell. However, our guides felt that conditions were getting worst. As a result, they phoned Tofino and had a power boat pick us up. It was a very wise and welcoming decision. I would have liked to have taken some photos during this paddle but I had other things on my mind ... hope you understand.
