Wapta Icefields This photo was taken late Monday afternoon about 200 meters from Bow hut. In the morning we tried to start out skiing but the wind gusts were so strong that they knocked us over three times before we even got to this spot. We had to stay down in a fetal position until it stopped ... by then we were covered in snow. In all my trips into the mountains, I have never seen the wind blow that hard. The wind came up an hour after we arrived at the hut on Sunday and the speed continued to increase all night. At times I know the gusts were well over 100 km.
